Chana Boucher
Global communication consultant. Storyteller. Professional dot connector.
Chana is the founder of Down South Communications, a Cape Town-based consultancy with a global reach and a knack for getting important messages across clearly. With just shy of two decades of experience across journalism, content marketing, organisational change management and internal comms, she’s picked up a handy mix of skills (and stories) along the way.
Fuelled by strong coffee and a healthy dose of curiosity, Chana spends her days solving sticky communication challenges. From strategy rollouts and DEI campaigns to leadership summits and digital transformations, she’s done a bit of everything and is always ready to bring the ideas, the structure and the spark.
Whether she’s working locally with South African giants or globally with multinational heavyweights, Chana jumps at the chance to dig through corporate jargon to uncover compelling stories, find and share the "why" behind strategic business decisions, and defy the misperception that corporate = dull.

Barbara Jansen
Communication strategist. Facilitator. Change companion.
Barbara is the founder of PURA VIDA Communications, and the person you call when you need to get people on board with what really matters.
She has 18+ years in the comms game – spanning internal communication, change and employee experience. Barbara has worked with global corporations and German Mittelstand, giving her a front row seat to just about every kind of transformation challenge you can imagine.
She’s rolled out SAP S/4HANA with her sense of humour intact, made cyber security a little less scary and a little more fun, turned corporate values into something people actually care about, and helped comms teams shine. Her sweet spot? Blending strategy, creativity and collaboration to develop the kind of communication that connects, engages and empowers.
Armed with a Master’s in Political Communication and certified as a New Work Facilitator, Barbara is all about turning complexity into clarity – and boring into bold!
